With my timid spirit, I sometimes can’t believe how bold and brave Kayleigh McEnany was when she would go out to speak with the press every day when she worked as Press Secretary for President Trump. Attack after attack, she came out and responded with wit and grace. Not only that, but McEnany is a hard-working mother, and the pictures of her walking the White House, dressed professionally and pushing a baby carriage are ICONIC. Okay, now I’m all excited...let’s talk about Kayleigh McEnany!
After reading this article by Kay C. James that expresses the lack of conservative women in Women’s History Month, I was inspired to create my own list! And of course, ever inspired by Mallory and listening to the ‘Those Other Girls’ Podcast, the name ‘Those Other Women’s History Month’ came to me! Excited to partner with TOG on this awesome profile series on inspirational conservative women!

"I live free of fear and full of hope." -Kayleigh McEnany
Author, mother, political commentator, Press Secretary; these are all titles of Kayleigh McEnany, a woman who took the conservative world by storm during her time working for President Trump’s administration. McEnany was born in 1988 in Tampa, Florida. She is best known for her work under the Trump administration, but she is also a well known commentator.
McEnany graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and then studied at Harvard School of Law. From there, she proceeded to intern for politicians such as Tom Gallagher, Adam Putnam, and George W. Bush. Her time as a commentator also began when she appeared on CNN as a paid commentator.
Finally, in 2020, she was brought on to the Trump Administration as National Press Secretary, fielding merciless questions from the press nearly every day. During this time, she never backed down, and she never wavered. In addition, she could be seen bringing her baby daughter, Blake, to work with her at the White House.
Kayleigh is a sharp and quick-witted woman who has worked hard and stood her ground. On top of that, she is proof that women and mothers can do anything they set their minds to! This Women’s History Month, we should be talking more about and celebrating those tough mothers! Here’s to mamas who kick-butt every day at work while also doing the hard work of mother-ing at the same time! Go Kayleigh.
"When you reach across the aisle and open your heart and mind, you might just find that you have more in common than you think with the guy on the other side of the fence." -Kayleigh McEnany
